a-first-look-at-the-jeremy-scott-x-adidas-originals-js-wings-dark-knight-1

Anyone else ever really dig a pair of shoes despite knowing that you’d never wear them? The adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott product typically isn’t my cup of tea, but the preview of the tentatively-named “Dark Knight” shoe above is right up my alley. While wings aren’t a new motif for this line, I’m really loving this iteration due to the all black color way and dramatic wing placement. Even though I’ve no plans to buy them myself, I’d still love to check them out in person.

Just the thing I need this Monday morning:  a little surf inspiration courtesy of Chanel and Baz Luhrmann. I’m smitten over the “5” Wetsuit. The BTS video of the locations also give a few neat insights into the filming of the ad, too. Happy Monday!

“Wang has explained ad nauseam that his H&M collection is all about performance, and activewear in the form of seamless knitted leggings and tops, neoprene sweats, utilitarian, water-resistant coats and reflective mesh separates took center stage.” – Fashionista

Since it was announced this past Spring, I have been wildly awaiting the Alexander Wang + H&M collection to preview, and we finally got to see what it’s all about yesterday. While my initial reaction was that it’s not as wearable as I had anticipated (e.g. significant branding], I think it makes a strong statement for sport-influenced product and looks really wonderful from an editorial stand point. With neoprene being one of my favorite fabrics to use, I’m thrilled to see Wang continue to inject it into more product, even if it’s lost in novelty in high fashion. What are your favorites?

A couple of weeks ago, I swung by Space 15 Twenty and picked up the inaugural issue of RANGE, an outdoor & active industry publication from This Is Range. Founded by Jeanine Pesce, RANGE is a thoughtful array of industry insight, trend direction, and a celebration of the outdoor lifestyle in a neat and inspiring package. I don’t want to give a thorough rundown of the publication because I hope you’ll pick it up for yourself and enjoy it.

Grab your copy at participating UO/Without Walls locations or read along online here.
