Today’s the day! I am just bursting with anticipation over here. I’m looking forward to so many things, but, first things first: the opening ceremony and torch lighting. Here’s a look at some of my favorite Team USA looks over the years. We should definitely bring back the stars and stripes shield motif. And how snazzy are those athletes in the last photo?
Enjoy the Games, all!
I’ve spent many cloudy, cool mornings in Malibu bundled in a hoodie at Starbucks [including once this week already] and that’s exactly where the James Perse Yosemite collection takes me. That’s probably not their ideal intention with an active line, but it totally fits into the coastal vibe of a morning spent walking nearby trails and grabbing coffee afterwards.
Anyone love those tuxedo sweat pants as much as I do?
PS// I have a guest post over on Uni-Watch today covering Olympics Tennis fashion. Check it out here.
Stone Island just released a neat archive book chronicling three decades of design & innovation. Sadly, it’s sold out. Perhaps someone who loves me very much will track down a copy for me one day.
Opening Ceremony [the retailer kind, not the Danny Boyle spectacle] just opened their pop-up in London featuring some nifty threads. For those of us not at the Games, products are available online, too, luckily.
+ A final visit to my old elementary school, which recently closed its doors.
+ Hello Kitty x Yogurtland + Fantasy Football season is almost here!
+ The Dark Knight Rises: So good. Great conclusion to the Nolan trilogy.
+ I tweeted this the other day, but if you haven’t read The Pintester. Please do.
+ With the Olympics just days away, I am squirming with excitement. Stay tuned for lots of coverage.

A glimpse inside my beach bag. I guess I don’t eat when I’m at the beach. What do you guys bring?
I haven’t had a need for a backpack in years, but these guys are giving me a reason to.
