Baseball season is about two months too long for my taste, but Opening Day is always a good time. Cheers to the 2015 season! Go Dodgers!

Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones! May we all celebrate the reason for the season together.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Wishing everyone a safe and sweet Thanksgiving shared with loved ones. If you ran a Turkey Trot today, I hope you wore something like the below. I may need to consider this next year.
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
[Psalm 100]
PS – Happy Hanukkah, too! I leave you with this.
Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! The Rose Bowl and Tournament of Roses Parade are one of my favorite NY traditions, particularly because they’re local, my love of football, and I used to decorate floats for a number of years. The Junior Rose Bowl is a thing of history now, but Miss JRB sure looks adorable.
A very big thank you to everyone who’s commented, liked, followed, or quietly read this site during the year. I immensely appreciate it. Cheers to 2013!

…and a hearty “Amen!” to that. Merry Christmas!
Weekend happenings//
+ A quick Christmas shopping sugar boost at Bob’s. If you like donuts and find yourself at the Farmer’s Market, give the chocolate honey wheat donut a shot.
+ Merry Christmas from the city of Los Angeles! Parking patrol tricked me into a nasty parking ticket.
Other notes//
+ With the rush of compacting all my Christmas duties only into weekends, it’s been busy to say the least. Thankfully, I was able to take a [quick] break to enjoy my friends’ annual Christmas tea on Sunday. That’s the stuff that makes you enjoy and settle into the holidays: catching up with friends and sharing life together; not the panic of securing the right gift while stalking departing mall shoppers for their parking spot.
+ From here through the new year, I can’t guarantee that I’ll be keeping up on posts. However, I’m excited for 2013 and new areas to improve and add to the site. Cheers!

Does this look like a cozy dream or what? Good news: it’s on sale [30% off]! Bad news: depending where you live, it’s still about a month’s worth of rent.
Available here.
Breaking weekday character of being in “sport” mode, I want to take a quick minute to enjoy being exactly where I am in life, appreciate where I’ve been, and embrace what’s ahead. Turning 25 today feels like an official number where youth meets adulthood at a unique crossroad. This morning I awoke to be greeted by 26 balloons with notes that each of my family member had written on, as you see in their deflated demise above. That kind and heartfelt act set the tone for my day to absorb the small things and enjoy peace.
Colossians 3:15 “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”
