First and foremost, I apologize if this turns into a World Cup blog temporarily. I will do my best to have some restraint from posting all things soccer.

That said, I love the World Cup and all the anticipation that comes with it. Besides the usual WC gear that comes around every four years, it’s the new and unexpected collections and collaborations that I enjoy the most. adidas’ Skate Copa presents a capsule of national decks for their team riders featuring classic and clean graphics. Do you have a favorite?

Weekend happenings// MSB+ One of my few (and not so grand) items on my exploring list is to visit all 21 of the California missions. My friend Jenna mentioned that her Grandma and I share the same ambition, so clearly I’m in good company. I checked off Ventura, which is just 45 minutes north of my home.

Decorating darling succulents for a friend’s bridal shower dinner.

+ Which is your favorite? The city of Los Angeles and Mayor Garcetti are having a vote on new eco-totes to be distributed to the city.

+ Created 800 years ago, these are the OG Pantones.

+ I’m mildly obsessed with the story of Vivian Maier. Can’t wait to check this out.

+ Prada’s new microsite will make your head spin, but it’s a nice trip down memory lane.

+ Some darn good advice to start each day: Daily Advice.

Happy Monday! Cheers!

Sometimes you get so busy that posts just aren’t going to make it as a priority, and, on the flip side, sometimes you finally find some free time and decide that it’s best to take advantage of that and just relax. As to not inundate with excessive catching up, here’s a glimpse of where I’ve been since I left off on my last Weekend Off Duty:

wine

+ The 2nd Annual Wine Road barrel tasting weekend with some of my favorites. #buckleup2014 [See last year’s trip here.]ntc

+ The NTC Tour stop in Santa Monica was tons of fun! We definitely got hooked up between free Fuelbands, free Studio Wrap shoes and lots of great workout classes with master teachers. So, so fun and highly recommended!Processed with VSCOcam with k2 preset Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

+ Best night ever: Kings of Leon at the Fabulous Forum with my brother. We won pit passes, so it doesn’t get much better than that. Unreal.

wod

+ Hiking Solstice Canyon on a perfect morning.

+ First Friday and dinos (!) at the Natural History Museum.

Other notes//

+ Lots of new Forever 21 Active for Spring popping up! We have some exciting stuff coming soon!

+ For the record: my bracket ended up being laughable. And I really want UConn to win tonight.

Cheers to a new week!

Yesterday, Nike released their Women’s look book for Spring/Summer ’14, and the presentation is quite fantastic if I may say so. It looks like Nike is taking a step away from their traditional athlete-focused shoots and graduating to every day, street influences. I see bits of the Without Walls attitude in here. Check it out.

Also, the NTC Tour is making their third and final stop here in Los Angeles on March 15! Join me and tons of other ladies that day and get a Nike+ Fuelband. Sign up!

Considering how aesthetically underwhelming the yoga mat market is, I’m surprised brands like La Vie Boheme Yoga haven’t popped up sooner or more frequently! I’ve seen plenty of DIY projects about how to paint your yoga mat with acrylic, but the end result is usually less than satisfying. It’s about time someone’s started to print their own collection of inspiring designs!
