November, my favorite month, is finally here! One of the best things this month brings is the bounty of Christmas gift guides. My favorite spotting so far has been Free People’s Vintage Loves shop, which featured a surprising number of vintage and vintage-inspired sports items. While they’re all filed under the “For Him” gifts, I think any gals like me would be equally stoked on this. I’m thrilled to see collector items like this being highlighted at a major brand, but I’m also a little selfishly disappointed that collectors will have to be competing with corporations that are scouring the market.

Due to the condition and rarity of these items, a few have been unsurprisingly sold already. For items just as cool, but much lower in price, I highly recommend Etsy for finding that unique gift for the sports fan in your life.

FP_Pistache boards

Sometimes I feel that I am thisclose to converting this into a board blog, but I can’t help what I like. As long as there are beautiful boards being made, I shall keep swooning and showing them.

This latest quartet is part of Free People‘s FP Movement collaboration with Quiksilver, world class shapers, and Pistache. They cost a pretty penny (like a few months rent), but are undeniably striking. The first one is my favorite since it has an 80s surf vibe.

I really appreciate how Free People has evolved into a full on lifestyle brand with the range of accessories and home items they now offer. Amongst the beautiful finds are these crafted bicycle seats from Brooks x Kara Ginther and a daintily applied crochet guard for your spokes. Cycling has never looked so sweet.

Available here.

I work hard to keep from wandering into Free People too often because I am too weak to say no. Thankfully this guy wasn’t in my local store today, so I didn’t have to go through that internal battle again. Instead, I made a safer choice and got a dress, but man do I want this.
