Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset+ Summer is officially in swing, and I decided to kick it off with a little bit of paddleboarding in the marina and a pitstop for Thrifty’s ice cream. I also proudly paraded my newly purchased vintage California flag, which I had been scouring sites and markets for for some time.

+ Anyone participate in International Surfing Day and Go Skateboarding Day on 6/20 & 6/21, respectively?

+ Happenings: The World Cup is still in full force, and Wimbledon is here.

This is a PSA for Father’s Day, which is this upcoming Sunday should you be behind. If your dad is like mine, then the official World Cup match ball is the perfect gift. Easy. Done. This year’s model, the Brazuca, is super nice and has a unique texture unlike previous WC balls. It also feels considerably more solid than say the 2006 +Teamgeist. Get it here!

Also, here’s a bonus video from Paul Smith, who created his own limited edition World Cup ball. Sold out, unfortunately.

First and foremost, I apologize if this turns into a World Cup blog temporarily. I will do my best to have some restraint from posting all things soccer.

That said, I love the World Cup and all the anticipation that comes with it. Besides the usual WC gear that comes around every four years, it’s the new and unexpected collections and collaborations that I enjoy the most. adidas’ Skate Copa presents a capsule of national decks for their team riders featuring classic and clean graphics.
