WOMENS[fashion]

Stephanie of Honey & Silk posted these guys, and they are just too darling to pass up. Unfortunately, they’re almost all sold out; if you’re looking for a “U” or “F”, then you’re in luck! As a substitute offering, designer Markus Lupfer has a beaded version available here. Seems like a very doable DIY, no?

IMG_0705 copyI had been needing to update my footwear options lately ever since I noticed that my choices are either warm-weather sandals or something of a heeled variety; there really wasn’t an everyday middle. Enter the Vans Sk8 Hi: an easy, year-round classic that also brings a mid to my wardrobe, a first for me. Initially, I was a little self-conscious of looking like a high-schooler in them, but I think that speaks to Vans’ unique ability to create and maintain a youthful identity over the years, which is kinda what the ‘Neverland’ mentality of skateboarding is all about.

The lovely Rodarte ladies have teamed up with Vans to promote the Vans Custom Culture Contest. Kate, Laura, and Vans are encouraging high schoolers to submit designs of their own decorated kicks to earn a cash prize for their own school’s art program as well as have the design produced. Pretty sweet. What’s also pretty sweet are the pair Kate and Laura designed and signed. Sadly for us, those aren’t going to be available. New DIY inspiration?

The DVF Loves Roxy capsule is almost here, and Kelia and Monyca wear [and sell] the bikinis well. I was able to sneak a peak at the collection last Fall, and it is so darn cute. Both Roxy and DVF have blended their individual identities well to create special pieces.

Watch Diane share her inspiration here and pick up the collection on 3/7.

Well, that looks pretty nifty. I saw this piece in store the other day, and was immediately drawn to it, probably because it has so many bells and whistles. The store associates made my friend try it on, then took a picture of her it in to show its reflectivity. She glowed like a super hero, so cool. There seems to be mixed reviews on it, but it seems like a matter of preference. I’d say it is heavier than I’d prefer for running, and it also costs about a dollar per degree of reflectivity. To each his own.

Available at Lululemon.
