FUELGOLD

Nike just released the update to the Fuelband, the SE, recently, but it’s this guy that’s getting all the girls’ attention. The Rose Gold update, a first release of Nike’s upcoming METALUXE collection*, finally hitting the sweet spot of blending sport technology and everyday wear. They even so kindly showed us how to accessorize it if you wear piles of bangles every day.

I’ve been curious about the Fuelband for a while, but not quite willing enough to purchase. Have you or any friends tried it? What do you think?

Weekends’ happenings. It’s been a bit busy here to say the least. Here’s a quick overview.//

tacos

+ Taco Tour 2013: My girlfriends and I had been planning this weekend for a while with the idea of a taco tour being an main part of it. We each chose our own stop along the way: Wahoo’s, Tito’s Tacos, Pink Taco, Ricky’s Fish Taco (not shown), and Malo. We had such a blast making our way around town. Hopefully there’ll be a part 2 in our future.

+ We capped off our taco adventure with the John Mayer concert at the Bowl. I’m so glad his voice is back again; he sounded great!

+ Celebratory birthday brunch for Caroline at Malibu Cafe.

IMG_3121+ Enjoyed an absolutely amazing Avett Brothers concert at the Shrine. They are so fantastic live! I could watch them over and over again.

A quick 48-hour jaunt to Georgia took me and my family to see on of my oldest friends get married:

+ 6:00AM flights sure offer a gorgeous view despite being totally beat.

+ When in Atlanta, keep it local and grab a Coke.

+ Sending off the happy couple.

+ First time visit to Waffle House, which hasn’t made it’s way to CA yet.

Friday the 13th is called so when events like a Lululemon warehouse sale take place with thousands of luon locos lined up for hours in advance before the doors open and then continue to wait 3 more hours until they can get it. Sigh. Somehow I ended up in the midst of this, grabbed a few items, and split. Look up the #soulcalcelebration to peek the madness. I probably wouldn’t attend again if it came back around to Los Angeles, but I am pretty stoked to test our the swimwear I got for $9. NINE!

Wax-and-Cruz-1

I’ve been admiring the pretty, little headwear options over at Wax + Cruz for a little bit. I love the new mixes of print they put together, especially the ikat, and that there isn’t necessarily a specific style or vibe to them. There’s also a definite DIY aura to them, which leads me to wonder what kind of cool combos others could put together with a bleach pen and mixed fabrics.
