Summer 2014 is just starting to pour into the stores and online at Forever 21, and I’ve been waiting to share pieces of it. This season has a strong emphasis on softness and yoga influences, and I’m really excited about some of the key details, including our crochet textures. It’s an easy update to regular athletic mesh and a great option to layer for depth of color. There’s a second set for this group that will drop later this Summer that’s more of a spliced group, so keep any eye out for that.

INSTINCT MODE
Yesterday, Nike released their Women’s look book for Spring/Summer ’14, and the presentation is quite fantastic if I may say so. It looks like Nike is taking a step away from their traditional athlete-focused shoots and graduating to every day, street influences. I see bits of the Without Walls attitude in here. Check it out.
Also, the NTC Tour is making their third and final stop here in Los Angeles on March 15! Join me and tons of other ladies that day and get a Nike+ Fuelband. Sign up!

WITHOUT WALLS
Urban Outfitter‘s is officially jumping into the active sector, which seemed a long time coming as they’ve evolved into a full lifestyle company. Meet Without Walls, a mix of UO product and curated outside brands to cater to the outdoor-urban customer who has a serious case of wanderlust.
Here’s what UO says in their own words:
“Without Walls is performance clothing and gear for fitness, surf, trail, and cycle, so you can keep moving without looking like everyone else. We don’t chase adventures, we create them. We are @gowithoutwalls #WithoutWalls. #GetMovingHaveFun #MoreToExplore”
I’m super curious to see how fitness customers react to the range and turning to UO for athletic options. Looking forward to checking it out in person next week.

FUN FRIDAY// WHISTLE WHILE YOU RUN
I’ve always wanted to do a RunDisney race, but they’re usually sold out about the time I remember to go check dates. A few years ago I watched my friend run her first half at Disneyland, and the combination of the host venue and festively dressed participants created a great atmosphere. In honor of the Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend at Disneyland today thru Sunday, here’s a few inspired looks from iGlowRunning.

C EVERYTHING
“Coco Chanel on a cable car in Courchevel” sure is a mouth full. Mr. Lagerfeld lent his artwork to cheer up the slopes a little bit and promote Chanel’s in-lodge boutique. I’m particularly fond of the little polar bear. Love!
JUST LIKE CARO
Like I mentioned on yesterday’s post, I attended a golf tourney over the weekend and got a few minutes to talk to Caroline Wozniacki between holes. Despite being pretty chilly by Los Angeles standards, she pulled together an easy and sweet look that I’d gladly steal. Here’s how to get her outfit, plus some “save” options if you aren’t up for splurging.

1// Burberry London “New Littleton” Trench // Save option here.
2// Louis Vuitton Monogram Shawl // Save option here.
3// Louis Vuitton Zippy Wallet, Neige // Save option here.
4// Valentino ‘Rockstud’ Biker Boot //Save option here.
5// Nike ‘Leg-A-See’ Tights [I know, she’s an adidas athlete.]
SOMETHIN’ LACY
I’ve been really excited for these two pieces to hit stores, and I cannot wait to try them out. Covering up in the cold weather isn’t always so cute, so it’s nice to find pieces that have hits of interest, especially on the back. Oh, I’m a sucker for detailed backs! Grab these lace back pieces from Forever 21 here: Lace Trimmed Sports Bra & Lace Back Workout Top.
ALOHA SPIRIT
Feeling rather sunny over here still despite the changing seasons and temperatures. This sweet ‘Aloha’ charm will do that to you.
Available here.
