Meet HOCK, a minimalist luxury line of fitness equipment that is equally as beautiful as it is functional. While most workout gear is stashed out of sight when not in use, I wouldn’t mind keeping these guys out in the open.

With the start of June unofficially kicking off Summer, Forever 21 launched a special capsule collection that blended sport and swim to inspire more outdoor and water workouts. Water fitness items (surf, SUP) have been at the top of my list to work on since I came on board at Forever 21, so I’m so pleased to see part of that vision come to fruition. As a Los Angeles local, the ocean is one of my biggest inspirations and design influences, which made tackling this collection a breeze. Personal preferences aside, it was great to partner with our Swim team and make product that functions both in and out of the water. The sports bras and leggings are all water-friendly (made of traditional swim tricot), so you can stand up paddle and run in them. To celebrate the launch, I’ll be giving away a few accessories from the line soon – stay tuned!
A number of styles are already sold out, but check out the entire collection here!

This post definitely should have been published a month ago, but, instead of scrapping, here it is anyway since the work was already done. Nike Women hosted their 2nd annual N+TC event in downtown Los Angeles on April 25, and it was killer, as you’d imagine. Nike doesn’t skimp on detail and quality, and it was “go time” from start to finish. While totally different from last year’s beachside event, it was no less fun or inspiring to work out alongside 2000 like-minded women (and a few men!) and some of Nike’s top athletes.
Weekend happenings//
+ This past weekend was more or less a #treatyoself type of situation with my hometown of Los Angeles providing a pretty perfect background. Filled with time spent with my best friends and evenings capped with concerts, my heart was incredibly full. Here’s a few snapshots to re-visit.
Fresh in this week, The Keith Haring Foundation has partnered again with Forever 21 to bring Haring’s rich prints to life in a small activewear capsule. Featuring wicking and branded elastic, these are sure to make a bold and welcome shake-up to your regular activewear rotation.

Happy Monday! It’s a short week for me going into the holiday weekend, so my mind is occupied by a full to-do list. Because of that, I’m challenging myself to have “clean slates” on Mondays and reset. A quick coffee stop at Joan’s on Third yesterday AM provided an unexpected dose of inspiration to simplify and focus on the necessities.
Cheers to a new week.

+ Early Saturday morning at the Los Angeles Flower Market for Mother’s Day bunches.
+ A little inspiration before breakfast at LA Chapter at the Ace.
+ Assembling my floral haul on Sunday morning into a couple of bouquets for my mom on Mother’s Day.
+ Gave the ultimate mother/daughter vinyl a spin yesterday. This was part of my latest finds from Amoeba.
Other notes//
+ Anyone following along the NBA or NHL finals? I kind of check out when my local teams aren’t playing.
+ An overdue NTC Los Angeles re-cap is coming this week [hopefully].
Cheers!

Nike Archives and Mission I’mPOSSIBLE have partnered for a limited set of three blocked windbreakers in classic Nike silhouettes. Featuring military collar/hood construction, all three are instant classics with timeless color blocking and front welt pockets. My personal pick would be the black and white set-up; I really love the inverse body and sleeves.
Already sold out online, you can give Fruition LV a ring to see if they have any in-store. And if you’re not familiar with MiP yet, please change that do so. They’re pretty rad and full of good people.

From the West Side to the East Side
Everybody’s very happy
‘Cause the sun is shining all the time
Looks like another perfect day”
Baseball season is about two months too long for my taste, but Opening Day is always a good time. Cheers to the 2015 season! Go Dodgers!
