Weekend happenings//

+ Celebrating the marriage of one of my oldest friends. It took place in the wine cellars of JUSTIN Winery, which was a neat set-up. Processed with VSCOcam with b1 preset

+ Wrapping the weekend up with a family birthday dinner. Nothing Bundt Cakes always hits the spot.

+ This Lana Del Rey cover for Maleficent is just so good.

+ Hope everyone’s enjoying the Olympics! Men’s Halfpipe is happening live this morning, so, by the time most have read this, I’ll be on cloud nine because Shaun White 3-peated or super bummed out.

Weekend happenings//

+ The Best Dressed Gold medalists, in my opinion.      + Lazy afternoon

+ Pixar night at the Hollywood Bowl                              + Lemonade for me, “juice box” wine for the bro

Other notes//

+ I spent Saturday morning cringing in front of the TV watching the Men’s Tennis Doubles final and was finally able to breathe when the Bryans took gold in a tie break.

+ Enjoyed a great evening at the Hollywood Bowl with my brother celebrating Pixar films. Randy Newman was in attendance, which made me very excited.

+ I was too consumed with the Olympics to catch any of the US Open this weekend. Congrats to Lakey and Julian!

Despite being a horrific manicurist, I took a couple of shots at Team USA-inspired nails.

Attempt numero uno: Burgundy-red nails, ring fingers were navy with a gold wedge. Looked all kinds of terrible. [Nicole by OPI Twist of Fate // OPI unknown navy // NYC Broadway Burgundy Frost]

Take two: Gold glitter nails, ring fingers were red, white, and blue glitter with a burgundy-red base. Not perfect, but much better. [OPI Excuse Moi! // Sephora by OPI Looks Like Rain, Dear // NYC Broadway Burgundy Frost]

Weekend happenings//

Got home Monday evening after spending the weekend in San Francisco to support my friend running the marathon. A few highlights:

+ Taking off from LAX with Starbucks // Fantasy Football updates on my way home

+ Grabbing lunch at Mijita’s at the Ferry Building

+ Best friends since elementary school

+ Freezing on the misty beach at Golden Gate Park // Banksy spotted in North Beach

+ Post-race celebratory lunch at Union Square

Today’s the day! I am just bursting with anticipation over here. I’m looking forward to so many things, but, first things first: the opening ceremony and torch lighting. Here’s a look at some of my favorite Team USA looks over the years. We should definitely bring back the stars and stripes shield motif. And how snazzy are those athletes in the last photo?
